These chips were chosen by IEEE as one of the 25 microchips that shook the world – listed as one of the most innovative, intriguing, and inspiring integrated circuits ever designed and manufactured. If you’ve shopped around, you’ll see many amps that look similar to the K2020A+. Frankly, we’re flattered that there’s been so many copycats of our popular Class T amplifier – however, the K2020A+ is the real deal, manufactured using an original (and rare) Tripath amplifier integrated circuit. When it comes to audio performance, it all comes down to what’s under the hood. We include a high capacity 12 volt 5 amp power supply so the amplifier is ready to go when it hits your door. This provides the amplifier with plenty of power to deliver the maximum experience of the TA2020-020. Comparing the Kinter K2020A+'s sound to other similar amplifiers can be dramatic. The K2020A+ plays a bit louder without sounding like it's working very hard, and the treble is more open and spacious. Getting into quality audio has never been more affordable. (you can google for a spec sheet) Your amplifier is fine and should play nicely. ( My own personal K2020A+ has 15 and 102mV DC offsets.) That being said, there is more to say about DC offsets: The K2020A+ utilizes the standard Tripath circuit board design. There have been many mods developed over the years that have improved on the original design, If you are adventurous, you can google these 2020 mods, and also especially search on diyaudio forum online, you will see some mods address the common variance in DC offsets that yours has, but again, your amplifier is fine and within the Tripath Specs. Note: Obviously modding the amplifier will void the manufacturer's warranty. **Q: Is it just mine or does the power supply not seem to plug in all the way , it works but it’s sloppy** A: Mine didn't plug up either, I was going to replace. I notice its not 12V 5A. Its 125V I hope it didn't blow it up. I put Netgear 12V5A. & lite came on. **Q: Use with 16 ohm speakers?** A: If it will power 8ohm it will power 16 ohm speakers. Just won't be as loud. I own one powering a pair of 8 ohm bostons. ## Frequently Bought Together - Kinter K2020A+ Limited Edition Original Tripath TA2020-020 Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Mini Amplifier with 12V 5A Power Supply Black - Amazon Basics 16-Gauge Speaker Wire Cable, 100 feet, Bronze - Micca M-6C 2-Way in-Ceiling Round Speaker, 7.6" Cutout Diameter, Whole House Audio, Home Theater, Indoor or Covered Outdoor, 6.5" Woofer, 1" Tweeter, White, Paintable, Each --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/60293257-tripath-k2020-020](https://www.desertcart.at/products/60293257-tripath-k2020-020) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
