The blue LED in the IR receiver bulb verifies signal transmission. - Home Theater IR Extender: This home theater accessory repeats the IR signal to a DVD player, STB box, receiver, or other A/V source with an IR sensor. Route the infrared remote control extender cable neatly with a wall-mounted TV and install the IR transmitter in a concealed equipment closet to hide a CATV box while still controlling it remotely. - Easy Installation: Quickly set up this lightweight IR blaster cord. Place the IR transmitter near the source sensor and the IR receiver within line of sight of your remote. For best performance, keep the blue LED on the receiver facing forward—not upward—for stronger signal reception. IR Tx and Rx cables include adhesive backing for secure mounting. - USB Powered IR Extension Cable: The USB infrared remote blaster cord features an integrated 6-foot Y-cable to receive 5V USB power. Simply connect the USB cable to a 5V USB wall charger. Note: The TV's USB port does not supply power when it's off, use a USB wall charger instead. - Universal Compatibility: This IR extender cable works with most A/V equipment with infrared sensors (not RF). The 30-degree IR receiver angle provides flexibility for remote control operation. Check that your devices support IR signals before purchase. Does not work for RF signal devices. - Extended IR Signal Range: This IR extender supports up to a 15-foot IR signal range for reliable control even at a distance. For optimal performance, place the extender away from Wi-Fi routers or CFL bulbs to avoid interference. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CNLF163B | | Best Sellers Rank | #3,018 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #2 in Remote Control Extenders | | Brand Name | Cable Matters | | Cable Type | USB | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Television | | Compatible Phone Models | No Compatible Phone Models | | Connectivity Technology | IR | | Connector Gender | Male-to-Female | | Connector Type | Usb | | Customer Package Type | Packaged for Shipping | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (5,120) | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Length | 6 feet | | Item Shape | Round | | Item Weight | 0.05 kg | | Manufacturer | Cable Matters | | Model | 203002-6 | | Model Name | 203002 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pins | 2 | | Other Special Features of the Product | LED Display | | Part Number | 203002-6 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Home theaters, entertainment systems, TV setups | | UPC | 810115184102 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Cable Matters - **Cable Type:** USB - **Compatible Devices:** Television - **Connector Type:** Usb - **Special Feature:** LED Display ## Images ![Cable Matters Infrared Remote Extender Cable, IR Repeater Kit, 6ft - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61lBv4TUNyL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How far can the IR extender transmit the signal?** A: The IR extender supports a 15 ft IR signal range, allowing reliable control of your devices even at a distance of up to 15 feet. **Q: What should I avoid to ensure optimal performance of the IR extender?** A: To ensure optimal performance, avoid placing the IR extender near Wi-Fi routers, bright sunlight, or CFL bulbs, as these may cause interference with the IR signal. **Q: Why doesn’t the IR extender cable work?** A: Ensure the USB power is working. The USB port on most TVs doesn’t supply power when off. Also, confirm your equipment and remote use IR signals, as this extender is not compatible with RF signals. **Q: Why does the IR extender cable work only at a short distance?** A: Ensure your IR receiver is positioned correctly.
