I initially wanted something to cut plastic letters for my letter board and was excited to find this. My hands did not cramp cutting many letters which usually happens when I use the regular scissor for a long time. I also love that there are two in this set. I can leave one in the office and one in the kitchen to cut herbs. I hang mine inside a locked cabinet in the kitchen so that our 1 year old (who thought it was a toy) cannot get to it.The blades are not dull and they are sharp to cut many different things such as paper, strings, ribbons, yarn, herbs, and even makeup removal cotton pads (I like to cut mine in half).That being said, be cautious when you open up the amazon package as the blades could be pointed upwards (mine came in the amazon bubble wrap envelope).Highly recommend this product! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars I’m SOOO grateful someone invented this type of scissors *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2019* My 6 year old daughter has Aspergers aaand a short temper haha so cutting things is her least favorite thing about school because using regular scissors is a huge challenge for her and she feels defeated when other kids do it easily and she struggles. I have fine motor deficits including strength, coordination, sensation and dexterity . I found these new scissors to be heavier and much harder to squeeze then my other pair. Perhsps bc they are new u find them to be quite stiff and will spray WD 40 on the blade joint in hope that it will loosen then up. I like my old paur better bc from the start they were more flexible. The difference between the old and new pair are the weight (new r heavy) and flexibility. Thr material used connecting thr arms in my old pair is much more flexible and feel almost rubbery which make ut very flexible where my new pair uses the sane material as the arms of the scissors which in my opinion is too stiff and hard for me to squeeze.
