Keypad are more easier to press and more precise. **Q: Is a longer deadbolt available, it was a refit, portion of hole is showing.** A: The bolts included can be used with two different “backset” measurements. The backset is the measurement from the front edge of the door to the center of the knob assembly (or the bore hole if the knob hasn’t yet been installed). The two typical backseats are 2-3/8” and 2-3/4”. If you are seeing into that bore hole with the deadbolt installed, you may have the latch set to the wrong backset (easily adjustable by twisting the body of the latch)…or the borehole was not drilled to one of those standards. If it was mis-drilled, you can (usually) purchase a scar plate to fit between the deadbolt and the door which would cover the gap. **Q: anyone know how this is different than the Kwikset Smartcode 913?
