Many of these books are rather large and not easily navigated, but this book seems to remove all the 'fluf' and gets straight to the point.Lately I've been helping a few young men learn how to cook. One of them has already looked through this book and couldn't believe how simple and easy to use it is. I couldn't agree more!At this present time if I were asked for a simple yet precise book to teach someone without cooking experience how to cook this would be the book I would first guide them to. It includes basic info on the 6 cooking techniques; unless you’ve taken cooking classes, you’ll likely learn something new. It also includes several recipes in each section.My favorite part is the section on roasting veggies. It gives flavor combos for veggies and herbs/spices. Very flexible so very useful.
