I needed something small that I could break down, adjust the height and brightness, and throw in a bag to take with me. My friends and I like to play trading card games at pubs and these are just right to bring along so we don't have to squint in the dark. I ended up putting one on my bedside table to read in bed because I like them so much. The whole lighting unit is contained inside the shade. The range between Brighton dim is pretty big. It gets pretty dim and it gets pretty bright (it's hard to tell in the video because the camera adjusted for the change in light). The charge seems to last a long time. I've had these for a few weeks and I still haven't had to recharge the one on my bedside table. The height is adjustable too. The bases heavy enough that it doesn't tip over easily.

Wonderful lamps! Could be used for reading, easy to transport when staying in a motel. Most motels don’t have very good lighting, and I like to read, so these are great for that. Look very nice in my home. The packaging was an added plus. It’s nice to have your orders arrive packed like these lamps were. They took extra care in wrapping and placing parts separately so not to scratch surfaces. Easy to assemble, look and work great. Thank you!
