It has a clever snap in cover for quick and easy installation/removal and comes with thermal pads (not sure about the conductivity since I’m using my own). I paired it with a Western Digital SN740 2TB SSD and tested it both on a 14” M1 MacBook Pro and a Windows laptop. The speeds were as expected while the enclosure only got to be lukewarm to the touch. It came with a rubberized USB-C to C cable that was about 3-4” in length. The enclosure is square in its dimensions with two side areas unused. IMHO the designer could’ve made this enclosure much more compact by eliminating this extra space on the sides but this is really not a complaint. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something like this to hold their 2230 drive. (For those of you looking for an enclosure to mount on your video rig, the USB-C port is in the center of the enclosure.) Review: Great for re-using that small drive you pulled out of a ROG Ally or Steam Deck - Upgraded my ROG Ally with a bigger drive. Put the older one in here and used it as a backup for my phone or a good high-speed portable drive for moving files. Kinda heavy but good quality. ## Features - [PORTABLE WITH MAGNETIC BACK COVER] Magnetic suction function prevents dropping, palm size, one hand control, lightweight, a mobile data backup center. - [ProRes Video Live Record & Save] Record 4K ProRes video directly on 2230 SSD enclosure connected via USB-C port, compatible with iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, with up to 150 minutes of real-time recording storage. - [2230 M.2 NVME SSD ENCLOSURE] Nvme reader supports only 2230 SSD with M Key & B+M Key, 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 transfer 1G file in 1s, up to 2TB. - [WIDE COMPATIBILITY] 2230 enclosure is widely compatible with devices with USB-C ports like iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max/iPad/laptop/PS5, compatible with windows 7/10/11, MacOS 10.2 or later, iPadOS 12.0.1 or later, Linux, Android. - [SUPERIOR HEAT DISSIPATION] 2230 SSD enclosure aluminum material, three-dimensional wave design with multiple heat dissipation, stable data transmission without lag and protect data security. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #1,480 in Enclosures | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 129 Reviews | ## Product Details - **Hardware Interface:** Thunderbolt 3 - **Brand:** ACASIS - **Color:** Blue - **Hardware Platform:** Universal - **Material:** Aluminum ## Images ![ACASIS 2230 SSD Enclosure for iPhone 15 Pro Max ProRes, 10Gbps USB C 3.2 Gen2, Aluminum M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter, Support M-Key B+M Key UASP(UP to 2TB - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ts6QSCUuL.jpg) ![ACASIS 2230 SSD Enclosure for iPhone 15 Pro Max ProRes, 10Gbps USB C 3.2 Gen2, Aluminum M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter, Support M-Key B+M Key UASP(UP to 2TB - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cX3TwKPpL.jpg) ![ACASIS 2230 SSD Enclosure for iPhone 15 Pro Max ProRes, 10Gbps USB C 3.2 Gen2, Aluminum M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter, Support M-Key B+M Key UASP(UP to 2TB - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qMsaAcg8L.jpg) ![ACASIS 2230 SSD Enclosure for iPhone 15 Pro Max ProRes, 10Gbps USB C 3.2 Gen2, Aluminum M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter, Support M-Key B+M Key UASP(UP to 2TB - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71j84wGgimL.jpg) ![ACASIS 2230 SSD Enclosure for iPhone 15 Pro Max ProRes, 10Gbps USB C 3.2 Gen2, Aluminum M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter, Support M-Key B+M Key UASP(UP to 2TB - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/618MdezIzFL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Robust, tool-Fred aluminum enclosure! *by T***G on April 20, 2024* This tool-free, aluminum NVMe enclosure for 2230 SSDs is a solid buy! Put the older one in here and used it as a backup for my phone or a good high-speed portable drive for moving files. Kinda heavy but good quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as Advertised *by A***R on October 12, 2024* I purchased this as a gift. For the price, it performs well. No complaints other than it’s a little difficult to open sometimes when swapping drives. The metal is also a tad thin but that didn’t compromise the performance. That said, it was dropped on a corner and it had to be hammered back into place. Pliers will split it but hammering was successful. Offering a protective case would be a good option. Everything needed to make it work was included (except for an SSD of course). Will update if anything changes. Pro: -Price -Functionality -Included Tools -Easy to use Cons: -Build Quality -No protective case option ## Frequently Bought Together - ACASIS 2230 SSD Enclosure with Magsafe for iPhone 15 Pro Max ProRes, 10Gbps USB C 3.2 Gen2, Aluminum M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter, Support M-Key B+M Key UASP( UP to 2TB - Corsair MP600 CORE Mini 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 Gen4 2 SSD – M.2 2230 – Up to 5,000MB/sec Sequential Read – High-Density QLC NAND – Great for Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, Microsoft Surface Pro – Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/618307900-acasis-2230-ssd-enclosure-for-iphone-15-pro-max-prores](https://www.desertcart.at/products/618307900-acasis-2230-ssd-enclosure-for-iphone-15-pro-max-prores) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
