It is, however, pretty perfect for me (5'2") sitting at a normal height desk.I like the the fact that it tilts back and forth which helps with comfort and probably encourages a better blood supply to the legs when sat at the computer for any length of time.It is very sturdy, heavy enough to not shift about (although mine is on carpet: could be different on a hard surface) but light enough to pick up if necessary. Being made of metal, it seems unlikely that it will break or fall apart in the near or even distant future.
