I have a very small garden and it's not worth me getting a lawnmower so it was between a trimmer and this and I went for this because I had many bushes that I had to trim as well. I have used this for over a month now and I must say that changing the blades is a bit difficult first until you actually do it and then you have a duh moment because it is actually straight forward. My small garden had turned into a mini jungle with reeds growing in it and I had my neighbours ivy actually growing through my fence and I must say that this trimmer even just on the grass blade got rid of the reeds and the thinish branches of my own shrubs and the neighbours ivy so I was very impressed. One thing that I do want to point out is that my shears actually work for more than 70 minutes as stated in the description so I am surprised by that because with these shears I went totally commado and sorted out about 90% of my garden in just 3 hours non stop one afternoon. Whenever I have used these and I have not after a charge they have never "died" on me so I have been really impressed with these and I must say that these have worked out to be a real bargain.

I bought this as my last hedge trimmer broken and I didn't want to spend alot on a large trimmer again as we only have a border bush in the front garden. I used this trimmer for the first time today and it did a good job. It's cordless, so easily gets down the sides and behind hard to reach parts of the bush. I got the whole thing trimmed back and it still had battery left. I would recommend as an extra product to use alongside a large trimmer as it locks itself and turns off if it hits a dense piece of branch or a thick piece of shrubbery. This meant I had to keep switching it back on, causing a lot of extra time to cut back the bush. But it does the job well otherwise if you don't mind taking a bit longer than usual.

I found this easy to use . I just tested it for the first time , trimming a privet hedge , tidying lawn edges and cutting some plants back . Makes these jobs a doddle . Changing blades can be a bit fiddly but once you get the knack of it it isn’t too difficult. I use loppers for thicker hedge twigs snd this trimmer for thinner regrowth . This little gadget is great as long as you don’t expect too much as it is a small compact trimmer and not a heavy duty hedge trimmer . I would definitely recommend this tool . Great value for money .

Dear Sir , i have had Four of this type of trimmer and none have worked for more than once or twice and would appear to be the manufactures problem not yours But as i said in my previous note it has lasted about an hour and will not now work after just an hour which makes it expensive to use, if you could receive it back and replace it with one that will last more than an hour ill be supprised. Sorry but that is fact not fiction. so please repay or replace Colin Fuller

I bought this product because I have several shrubs which need an occasional haircut. I don't have any hedges so buying a full hedge trimmer was really out of the question. It is designed to be used one handed., either for the left hand or right hand. Quite exceptional to have an ambidextrous tool. The shrub blade is about 8 inches long and quite adequate for light trimming. It is very easy to change blades to the grass shears. There is a safety plug which you pull out of the body (It's on a retaining cord so can't be lost) before changing blades. With the plug out the machine will not work. I can't help with the recharge time because it's not been important to me. The grass shear is very good for small places or corners where accuracy is import and a strimmer would not be the right tool. I can recommend this "gadget" it really does help and does what it claims.

Purchased this for trimming my box bushes. This is light weight but sturdy. This is good as I have atheritis. It does the job perfectly and holds the charge for ages after a full charge. I would recommend.

May be good for succulent herbs? but not for hedge. The blades are blunt and rather pluck the edge through parallel movement of two sets of blades. Not fit for the job. Didn't test the grass shear.
