The studs are large (plastic) and securely affixed to the short, thick and wide strap. The floral strap is very unique, and the oxblood color was a match to the leather purse I bought it primarily for. They also come in a gift worthy box.I am not certain that these are genuine leather, however you can see when paired with my leather bags (Kate Spade) they don't look cheap. The shortness of the strap is on trend and will bring your bag to the fresh new height of right under your arm. Everyone loves it and I get compliments from NY'ers daily! I only worry about the studs directly behind my shoulder and how much wear and tear they will take as I lean on subway seats, etc., but it still looks new after two months of almost daily wear.
