Doesn't it scratch the furniture?** A: It is for the very purpose of buffing the clear wax (and I believe the dark wax as well) on chalk painted furniture. It does not scratch the furniture because the bristles are soft. It does, however, leave brush strokes in the wax if the wax has not set up and gotten hard. Problem is it tends to push the lime paste out of the crooks and crannies where I wanted it to stay. Maybe I just didn't know the proper usage. Might work if you're looking to distress but that's not what I was wanting it for.Just out of curiosity, I thought I would do a search for Scrub brushes on Amazon and sure enough there's one selling for 1/2 the price that is almost identical.
