They make fantastic gifts because they’re inexpensive and unbelievably handy. Cooks still dealing with cloth potholders or mitts or even thicker silicone mats don’t know what they’re missing. These are light, completely flexible, very easy to handle and clean, and very bright colored so I can find them without a lot of trouble. I clean them with a tiny squirt of Dawn, just scrub them together on both sides, and even greasy substances wash right out.I am a naturally awkward person, dropping things, knocking stuff off counters and tables, and piling up papers I'm too busy or too lazy to file or put away. I move too fast most of the time, and unfortunately, I'm also elderly, so my sense of touch and the movements and flexibility of my hands are hampered by age and arthritis.
