I had some trouble at first because I did not realize that and was swiping and it was have a lot of trouble. Once I started just placing my finger, it has worked pretty much every time with the occasional misread (maybe once or twice in a week of heavy computer use). For the price, I would say it is pretty solid. I tried really hard to like this thing. It worked reasonably well at first, but the performance has degraded quickly to the point where the product is no longer usable. Of course it happened outside the refund period so they will be able to steal my money.
