That makes them ideal when you're cleaning up parts that you don't want to gouge or change the shape of.I've used them on rusty brackets, painted steel and a few fabrication projects, and they've made quick work of removing old coatings while leaving a clean surface that's ready for primer or paint. They also do a good job of cleaning up light weld discolouration.The discs have held up well too. I expected them to wear quite quickly, but they've lasted through several projects and still have plenty of life left in them. They run smoothly with very little vibration, and I haven't had any issues with them breaking apart during use.If you're restoring old metalwork or preparing steel for repainting, these are a great addition to the workshop.
