Brilliant if you have food laid out for guests. Once switched on takes roughly half an hour to an hour to start working. this product doesn't work instantly it takes a little time to work. its a good reliable item to have around and will obviously keep bacteria from flies away from you. The only downside id say is one gas cylinder lasts a day so you do need to keep refilling and purchasing more of those and the pellets for the top too. I'm happy to replace as I think its the best bug repellent we've had. You could probably take abroad too as its quite compact. Review: Impressive - Just got back from a weeks fishing trip in France, the first night it was damp so didn’t use it and I suffered a few bites. Then I put it on for the last 6 days and never got another bite all week, in fact around my bivvy I couldn’t even see a mozzy. In March I got a pack of 4 refill cartridges and 12 protection mats for £15 **Q: Are these safe around pet dog?** A: Yes they are **Q: Would these mats also fit the thermocell m300? I'm not sure whether ir not there's a difference in size.** A: Hi to be honest I’m not sure of the sizes and wether they fit, the one I purchased works brilliantly with the mats that I purchased with it **Q: They fit for halo?** A: They’re same size as the classic Thermacell pads which come with butane refills.
