Funny how many ignorant civilians answered this question making fun of the β€œ2-3 story” drop question. This is a very relevant question if this case is to be used to store firearms that might be tossed out of an aircraft. **Q: Is the foam pre cut. Or can i customize?** A: Yes you can still cut it to fit your rifle(s). I have this case and fit two 18" AR's with scopes, 2 mags and 4 boxes of 7.62x39 ammo as well. I was able to use a sharp non-serrated knife and cut it accordingly. Doesn't matter if it is "pluckable" foam or not, it will cut. **Q: Anyone know the internal dimensions?** A: Internal is 51.5 inches long, 14" across. Depth on the bottom is 3.25" and top depth is 1.75. There are cutouts for the wheel - see the product pic - inside and each is 2"x2" approx. I fit a scoped SKS and scoped Marlin 1894 Cowboy in there with 40 rounds of ammo for each. Hope this helps. **Q: Is It possible to order just the foam insert that you shape to the gun? I'm refiguring the layout and could start all over with just a new foam insert** A: You can get pick and pluck foam on Amazon from a different seller/brand. Just make sure to follow the dimensions. You can always order foam that is larger than the case and cut it to length/width.
