Having a sick toddler recently I tried to use my more expensive “highly” recommend digital thermometer that could not provide an accurate temperature. Every time I used it the temperature varied dramatically. I bought this one and it was accurate every time. It has a quite mode that won’t wake up a sick little one and a well lit light that allows for easy reading in the dark. It lights up red when temp is too hot and green if ok. It has three temperature modes: surface, body, and room temperature readings. It will give readings in Centigrade or Fahrenheit. When you press the Scan button, it will give you a reading in about a second, and beep when it gets a reading. It also has a memory button, that could be deleted altogether. The only complaint that I have is that all four buttons are grouped together, and with the C/F button right above the Scan button, you can end up with a Centigrade reading when you want a Fahrenheit reading. Not a real problem, just a nuisance. The layout of the buttons should be changed, by moving the memory button to the side, and moving the C/F button to the right, giving you more room for your thumb. The thermometer gives consistent and accurate readings, as I compared it to an AMPLIM/AMPMED Model: AMP2001F1 infrared thermometer that I also have.
