Review: Love Julia Donaldson - Like most of Julia Donaldson's works, this one is a lyrical charmer. A devious circus owner tricks a singing mermaid away from the sea, and only with her friend's help can she make it back home. Lovely illustrations complement a simple, and charming story. I would rate this one below Tabby McTat and Room on the Broom, but it's still a great read for a little reader.

The pictures are beautiful & bold coloured collage with glitter accents that doesn't come off the page. The stories are typical Julia Donaldson with clever rhyme & theme. A great read that even my 8 year old son enjoys when his little sister chooses this book.

Like most of Julia Donaldson's works, this one is a lyrical charmer. A devious circus owner tricks a singing mermaid away from the sea, and only with her friend's help can she make it back home. Lovely illustrations complement a simple, and charming story. I would rate this one below Tabby McTat and Room on the Broom, but it's still a great read for a little reader.

We already own The Princess & the Wizard & Sharing a Shell, both like this book are written by Julia Donaldson & illustrated by Lydia Monks. A great read that even my 8 year old son enjoys when his little sister chooses this book.

This is a great book. The pages are so colorful and the glitter makes them even prettier. I haven't had any problems with glitter coming off the pages. I like the story, as well. Not too long, not too short. I think it teaches the importance of making good choices.
