The leatherette material is smooth but provides more grip than the IPad itself. It can be stood in all different angles and this is the only folio case that the portrait mode is actually stable. The price on this is not cheap but when you think about the investment of a very expensive IPad this should really be a no brainer. Don’t waste time and money cheaping out.
