A: You may have purchased your lock from another seller other than Amazon.com and they sent you the old lock. I recommend that you purchase items from Amazon.com whenever possible.

A: The Kryptonite New York Standard U-Lock does not come with a cable.

**Q: Does the Lifetime Warranty cover rust?  I see several complaints about the "stainless steel" rusting making these very difficult to open after time.**
A: I have not had any issues.  But stainless steel does not rust

**Q: How to use lock**
A: You can use the lock to lock your bicycle frame to to your front tire, rear tire or to a stationary object.
