A: Gas needs to come out of the lighter end before it can ignite.

If it’s coming from the bottom, then there is something wrong or defective for your product

**Q: Does this work for burning titanium to change color?**
A: I use a 14 mm titanium tip (nail) on my nectar collector, and it gets red hot
So yes, it season the titanium

**Q: Does it need flint for spark?**
A: No the only thing you need is butane gas

**Q: Where is this made?**
A: I can't answer that but it been a good torch

Never buying another brand again. Highly recommend. I have had this torch for 2 years and 8 months and I am reordering it today. I have used this for recreational purposes- so it has been used numerous times daily since I have had it. I have never had an issue until recently- the starter is going out. But after being used 1500+ times minimally and being refilled regularly, I think that is beyond reasonable. And the starter still works- I just don't want to go without once the starter does completely go out. This is a reliable, efficient, and beyond worth the value torch. I never write reviews so when I went back to find my original purchase I had to leave this one.
