They quoted a long ship time, so I can't fault them on that, but it did take the full time to reach California.The part works as expected, though it doesn't lock in like an 1/8" phono jack does. Not sure if that's the part of just how these connections work as I've never had one before. I have no idea why Canon doesn't just stick with the ubiquitous phono jack for all cameras. But I digress. The part works fine, and costs what it should for such a simple piece of cable. Glad to be able to use my triggers and intervalometers from my Rebel for my 6D. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From China but fast! *by M***4 on May 31, 2013* This item shipped from China. I didn't see any indication of this in the listing. On the flip side, it only took a week and a half to two weeks to arrive. Adapter works great and is of good quality. I'm using it to adapt my intervalometer to my Canon 6D. Good stuff! I could not find any alternative that even came close in price. I would recommend this to anyone if you can wait a little longer for delivery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic adapter for without having to buy multiple remotes *by J***H on September 5, 2014* This cable adapter allows you to use a 1/16" port to the Canon 3 prong port for the middle to professional cameras. I had a Canon remote for my Rebel and wanted to use it for my 7D, and this cable was exactly what I needed to use delayed shutter release.Thus this cable can be valuable if you have multiple Canon cameras between the consumer model Rebels to the professional models such as the 5D, 6D, 7D.The only quirk about it is that the 1/16" female port is not as snuck as I'd hope. I have had times with the remote falling off my camera while letting it rest around the camera and tripod. Even when you plug it in, it never feels secure.
