One needs 400 mg magnesium daily. If you rely entirely on this supplement, you would have to take 4 tablets daily with food. But since you get some magnesium from your food as well, 2 tablets a day(one with breakfast and one with supper) should give you 50% of your daily requirement. If you go for any other brand, you will need to take about 10 tablets a day to give your body 400 mg magnesium. There is some science involved in terms of magnesium salt used, percentage by weight of magnesium present in the salt, bio-availability, etc but I'm not going to go into the details.
