UPDATED with links for accessories. *by R***B on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 April 2019* This alarm system is small in size and only around the size of a 7 inch tablet so its unobtrusive and will not look out of place in any home. Its well made and simple to install and use. Once set up, it is simple to arm and disarm from either the unit itself or from the 2 supplied key fob remotes. For a smaller property like a flat, bedsit or student flat, its absolutely ideal. All of the individual components are connected by wireless so no unsightly wires to connect them and this also makes it simple to pack up and install in a new property should you change your living arrangements.Its important to install the control unit within radio range of the various sensors and careful setup is needed for this. Its possible that you may install a sensor out of radio range and think you are covered when in effect, the sensor will not operate but if you checkout the locations of each part of the system & ensure a good radio connection, it then remains totally reliable in operation. This is the same for all radio linked alarms. Once an intrusion is detected, the system will alarm and set off the internal siren which is perfectly loud enough if you are in the property but would be unlikely to be heard by your neighbours so if you want this, you will need to purchase either an external sounder or a loud internal sounder which can easily be added to the system. However, when the system detects an intrusion, it will send a message to up to 4 people and you can choose what form this will take. Either a SMS text message or a voice call to your chosen numbers. It does this by using an inbuilt 3G phone system using a PAYG SIM card and works on all major networks including the 3 network as it has a 3G phone unit installed unlike many alarms of this type which still use the old 2G cell system. The alarm system also communicates with an app on your phone either via 3G or via your home WiFi router. From this app you get a virtually instant alert of any intrusion and it even tells you which sensor has been triggered. You can turn on the alarm and turn off the alarm from your phone from anywhere in the world. You can change any of the systems options from the phone app too. There are apps both for Android & for the Iphone and the apps work flawlessly and are easy to use. So I can recommend this alarm for anyone who wants a reasonable priced system for a small property that is an easy self install. UPDATE! I have now found accessories that work perfectly with this alarm so you can update the alarm coverage.
