Review: It's a Completely Silent Clock! - Very happy with the design and the operation of this clock. It is completely silent. By that I mean, unless your ear is pressed up against the dial, then and only then would you hear a sIight whirring noise. Who does that? I don't know what they mean by saying "if your hearing is particularly sensitive in a completely silent room you may hear a very quiet whirring" Nonsense. You would have to be a canine to hear the mechanism from any distance. My hearing is pretty good and I am a light sleeper.

Very happy with the design and the operation of this clock. It is completely silent. By that I mean, unless your ear is pressed up against the dial, then and only then would you hear a sIight whirring noise. Who does that? This is indeed a cute alarm clock; however, it is not worth the large price tag. At all. The entire body, including the face, is plastic.
