The author has broken up otherwise large, complex concepts into 2-3 page manageable sections where they write in a way that is easy to understand.
Review: Great for review - Short and concise chapters on a variety of topics related to research. Great for review but probably not for initial learning. I use this in my graduate research methods class since all students should've learned this stuff already.

I took a chance on buying this used textbook, which was listed as in "very good" condition. It arrived and I was overjoyed to see that it was in perfect condition. It has never been opened. So nice to save some money and get a brand new textbook.
