He recently completed his newest young-adult novel, Dynamo, and is currently booking writing workshops for 2014. The talent of Zack Lichtmann to describe the situation, the weather, the feelings, etc. causes you to actually visualize the event in your mind. It is a page turner as well with a great story, believable characters, and allows you to feel the excitement, the suspense and the puts you there into the story like you are watching the whole thing. The idea it plants in the minds of readers to be proactive in your life and not just stand by and let life happen to you, but go make life happen for you, is a great moral to the story. It is good for anyone to read from teen ager to adult. I also like that he takes you through the book with various experiences and lets the skill of writing to the work without having to interject any profanity or demeaning language. I will be waiting for another book. Dynamo was a fun read.-Mike ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved it! Where was this when I was in high school?! *by R***L on 18 December 2013* I'm so glad I found this book with real, relatable characters experiencing raw life! It’s such a cool story, I wish there were more books out like this. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy fantasy and vampire stories that are fun and imaginative and can be epic and exciting occasionally, but it gets played out and predictable. I feel this is a story that not only entertains, but is one that you can really connect with. It's perfect for high school students, especially young men.Dynamo is one of those coveted reads that reminds you of being a teenager: there's the social "pecking order" that's battled out in high school (and the amazing way it gets turned upside-down in this book -- don't worry, I won't spoil it!) There's the electricity and wild nerves of a first date and teen love without being too sappy. And there's the fear of getting caught doing something forbidden and the rush of getting away with it!It's exciting without being overly dramatic like a lot of popular fiction is right now. You get sucked into the world of these characters' lives and start to feel like you know them. You start rooting for them and getting worried when things go wrong. Then, BAM! Matt sees the crime and the ride gets rough and more thrilling as you read. Matt and his friends start going on secret missions and everything gets more and more out of control. It reminds me a little of “Stand By Me”, or “The Outsiders” in that way. And there's the constant thinking that Matt always does. He's almost obsessive and really analytical about everything going on. Reminds me of Scout in “To Kill a Mockingbird”, but through the voice of a teenager. It's got a similar coming-of-age feel. It was great to read something fresh and different – definitely worth checking out!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delta *by S***N on 20 July 2014* You know that feeling of wanting more from yourself, an empowering change; this is that feeling. "Dynamo" is also deciding which risks to take to get to that change, even with the outcome of those risks. The action in the plot flows smoothly. The thoughts and questions presented in "Dynamo" are relatable. The great thing is that readers are presented with some pretty good answers. I know I marked down a couple lines and passages of dialogue. This is the kind of book you live out while reading. What I mean is that as you're reading you feel an urge to apply what you're reading to your life; to stop being complacent and find your own dynamo. This can be both good and bad depending on how seriously the reader takes this book.
