In the description when you order these lights, they specify which lighting tone you'll get. I do have both, and one is the cool blue you see here. The others are the yellow illuminated lights. These are the best quality solar lights I've ever ordered, among the many failed efforts in the past. The fact that these are encased within a clear rubber tube is a huge "PLUS." As far as the time they last? I can't say for now. Though they are less at risk of casual breakage from falling branches, bad weather or other natural occurring situations. So far, all is well! **Q: Why do lights only stay on for an hour or two? I live in Florida, my last rope light stayed lit for 8 hours. Sun is not a problem charging.** A: Make sure the solar panel is clean, else the battery may need to be changed, you can use energizer AA recharge or the brand you prefer, I use them on mine, easy battery swap, just mind the screws, easy to get lost. Last week ANOTHER DAY OF BRUTAL WINDS.. this time the coop was dragged over 100 ft (thank goodness I hung the nozzle of the hose onto the cage), flipped back and forth, rolled and beaten for hours. Once again the lights not damaged! 2 days later, reconstructed the coop ONE MORE TIME… the coop is garbage but THE LIGHTS… STILL WORKING FULLY WITH NO DAMAGE AT ALL!
