They fully dissolve in water. Some environmental companies (like Ecover) say you cannot have them without pollution to the environment, it's worth reading up on it. I think most water soluble wrappers turn into alcohol, so it doesn't break down into micro plastics. **Q: Do these tablets contain powder as powder blocks my drains** A: I have been using them for 6 months and no problem with my drains at all. **Q: All these questions and reviews below relate to the tablets, but I'm looking at the rinse aid, which is what I currently need. Is this for rinse aid?** A: I have only had the dishwasher cleaner and dishwasher tablets from Claro. Both of which have been excellent. I have not used the Rinse Aid. **Q: Are these the dishwash tablets or rinse aid?** A: These are x3 bottles of rinse aid. Its confusing because they are selling tablets, rinse aid and salt under the one description. You have to tab on the choices to pick which one you want!
