They're a decent quality for the price, but not the best controller I've ever held. They both turn on and send all the inputs they're supposed to send when you press the buttons. I haven't held a first-party Sony controller in recent memory to compare them to, but the plastic shell mold seems to be shaped near-identical to PS3 controllers from what I can tell.Nothing stands out as feeling cheap. D-pad and face buttons are a bit mushy, but consistent even between the two controllers and are entirely usable for casual play. Start, Back/Select, and center/PlayStation buttons in the middle are all mushy as get-out and provide zero feedback. Luckily, you shouldn't have to use them often.The shoulder buttons click nicer than some more expensive controllers I own (Xbox 360, genuine Microsoft) and the triggers seem responsive. I didn't expect triggers under the shoulders, though, and don't really see a reason beyond indexing for them not to just be another pair of buttons; they aren't analogue inputs, just springy buttons.Joysticks are smooth and three out of the four are very consistent, the left stick on one controller is a bit stiffer going around the edges. Stick presses all click nicely and return easily. There also seems to be a huge deadzone in the centers, but that might just be my software configuration, YMMV.They each came with a set of silicone grip pads for the sticks. The pads add a little bit more grip and a ring of small bumps, but personally I prefer something more rubbery.Also in the box is two mini-USB cables for charging and pairing.I bought these controllers for use with a Windows PC. Most of my set-up and use revolves around getting them to work with a desktop computer, as I don't own a PlayStation 3/4/5 to connect them to.First off, they will connect to a PC as plug-and-play no problem if you don't mind leaving the cables attached. The included charging cables are a bit short unless you sit right beside your PC while playing, but you can buy much longer ones for cheap. Simply plug the controllers in and hit the center button.Things get messy if you want to use them wirelessly. They ARE Bluetooth enabled, but they don't have a standard pairing function or normal PC drivers for wireless play. So you're also going to need some software trickery.A bit of Googling lead me to a utility called ScpToolkit, which is the only safe and easy way to use PS3 controllers of any kind wirelessly on Windows. It isn't in active development anymore, but you can find the download on GitHub. It's all pretty straightforward. HOWEVER, if you plan to go down this path I highly recommend you buy a separate Bluetooth dongle for these. One of the $15 itty-bitty USB guys will work just fine. The problem is that if you have the drivers installed to use these wirelessly, the Bluetooth receiver using those drivers won't connect to any other type of BT device.
