If like me, your smart phone doesn't use a standard android connector you'll need an adapter, cheap and easy to pick up. 2. Dress sensibly. Where there is lots of bat activity... They'll be lots of flying invests. As I didn't want to move, I got bitten to shreds on my first experience! Review: It suggest bat ID unlike most bat detector's. - Took me a while to figure out how the app worked with the echo meter touch 2 but it was able to identify at least 70% of the bats detected with some ultra sound being picked up caused by friction off my movement. You do not need an app on your computer to listen to recorded calls. Calls are stored as WAV files that can be easily played on a computer. If you have built-in or Bluetooth GPS on your phone/tablet, then all the recordings will be tagged with their location and the path will be recorded from each recording session. The path and locations are also exported with recordings in KML format and can be opened in Google Earth. **Q: Does it work with a Galaxy A50 ?** A: Yes it Works with a Galaxy A50. But you will need a Micro USB to USB C adapter to use it as the Samsung Galaxy A50 has a USB C slot. **Q: Do I need an active sim card in the phone in order for it to work?** A: You shouldn't do. I use my EMT primarily with a tablet which doesn't have a SIM.
