Think again. You're going to need this bracket to enjoy a full range of positioning options.Shame on Blink (aka, Amazon) for not including a mounting bracket like this one in the box! Truth is, if you want to wall-mount your Blink Outdoor camera (I have the "new" Blink Outdoor, not the XT2), you need this. In the photos I've posted, you'll see (1) one bracket set along with the box. I bought the 3-pack, but I only included one in the photos, (2) The front and rear of this bracket in live action. I have the camera mounted using the vinyl siding clips that are available on Amazon. They're simple metal clips that don't cost much. They work fine. Anyway... getting back to the camera mount...The device provides a full range of motion, allowing you to rotate the Blink towards the wall. It's a full swivel, so you can extend the Blink directly to the front if you want to. Furthermore, if you have to position your Blink above a protrusion such as a window frame, this product will help you do that. The mount that comes with the Blink Outdoor is hopelessly inadequate in such a situation.I like this because it sufficiently extends the Blink from the wall, allowing the camera to be positioned at 90 degrees or more. The mounting bracket that comes with the Blink doesn't provide this clearance.This Blink mount comes with 3M two-sided adhesive rings. These are to help the Blink stay attached to the Blink Outdoor in situations such as high wind (I suppose). I went ahead and used the adhesive ring to mount the Blink Outdoor that's in my photo. The Blink snapped-on tightly, causing me to wonder if I'm going to have trouble removing the Blink to replace the batteries. Only time will tell.What don't I like about this product? To situate the Blink Outdoor in your desired position, you must tighten a ribbed collar that's on the mount. It rotates on the main stem of the mount. I can't seem to sufficiently tighten it. OK, It seems tight enough, but I can easily reposition the camera on the mount *without* loosening the collar. I don't know how much that matters. After all, every time you change the batteries, you'll have to reposition your Blink Outdoor anyway.The package came with plenty of "extra" 3M double-sided adhesive rings, so you can replace them every time you remove your Blink Outdoor from the mount.I hate giving this product 5 stars, because doing that fails to account for the difficulty I've experienced with tightening my camera into position. Probably 4.7 stars would be better. I do, however, believe that my one grievance is not serious enough to affect my rating negatively. (This product is closer to 5 stars than it is to 4 stars.)This product is very rigid. It's not wimpy at all. It's going to help you properly position your Blink camera. The price is good too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better Positions Than Stock Mount 👍 *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 4, 2020* The media could not be loaded.  I gotta give this 5 stars bc of the price, you get 3 of them and bc there's nothing else like it for the all new Blink cameras. The base and tightening nut is plastic the ball hinge is metal. Overall construction is lightweight and not bad. If you want to tighten the nut I suggest getting some rubber gloves for grip.The camera attachment piece screws on and tightening that up tight can be a little tricky as the ball joint moves. It requires you to predetermine and tightening accordingly. You need to play with it a little. If it comes loose I plan on putting a dab of silicone or glue on it. Loosen the adjustment knob and you can swivel to wherever. Didn't understand another review that said you couldn't. 🤔 1 of them came with smaller screws than the other 2. 🤔You need to predrill with a drill bit. If you try to use the screws first off you're gonna sit there all day trying to get it in and catch and they will break. They are not self tapping wood screws. I pre drilled and had no issues. These are ok quality but if you're looking for metal ones expect to pay more. Well see how these hold up and see if rust develops. 👌 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice unit but could use some improvements *by D***W on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 7, 2019* Very good units but not 5 star. The only issue is how the brackets mount to the camera. They include some round 3M double sided tape that mounts between the camera and the bracket. If that 3M tape wears off and you have a high wind the camera could come detached from the bracket.The fix around this is to have the mount that attached to the camera spring loaded. You have 2 buttons on the side to release the spring. This way you have a secure fit and it will be easy to detached the camera.I caught these on sell 3 for $10 so I can not complain too much. I am using my brackets in a garage so I don't have to worry about the elements. I would be carefully using them outside because the elements could affect that 3M tape any your camera may fall. These cameras are tough.
