X-Fly is a biomimetic ornithopter that flies by flapping its wings and gliding like a real bird — no propellers. Responsive controls and natural movements create a uniquely lifelike flying experience. - ULTRA-LIGHT BIOMIMETIC ENGINEERING – Weighing only 12.2 g with a 380 mm wingspan, X-Fly combines an ultra-light structure, elastic wings and a patented symmetrical flapping-wing mechanism. Directional control is achieved by deforming the wings, inspired by the way real birds turn. Its exceptionally low wing loading also enables efficient, controllable gliding. Designed for both indoor and outdoor flight. - INTELLIGENT FLIGHT ASSISTANCE – A 6-axis gyroscope and custom-developed algorithms continuously combine your control inputs with sensor data to make X-Fly easier and more stable to fly. Straight Flight Assistance helps maintain heading, while Turn Assistance helps prevent excessive banking and loss of altitude during turns. - SWAPPABLE BATTERY – UP TO 12 MINUTES OF FLIGHT – Enjoy up to 12 minutes of flight on a single charge. The removable battery can be swapped in seconds for a charged one, letting you get back in the air without waiting. The dedicated USB charger can recharge a battery in approximately 12 minutes. - NATURAL, RESPONSIVE FLIGHT CONTROL – Control speed, altitude and direction directly from your smartphone or with the optional X-Play controller. Speed is managed through the wing-flapping rate, while a patented micro-mechanism deforms the wings to steer, mimicking the way real birds turn. A rear rudder provides additional directional control during gliding. - iOS & ANDROID APP + CUSTOMIZABLE FLIGHT – Connect to The Flying App via Bluetooth 5.2 for a control range of up to 150 m / 500 ft in suitable conditions. Choose between intuitive, classic and optional X-Play controller modes, and customize flight assistance and controls to suit your flying style. The app also supports firmware updates, multiplayer flying and optional LED/buzzer modules. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D984D2TV | | Age Range Description | Teen & Adult | | Battery Capacity | 58 milliamp_hours | | Battery Cell Composition | Lithium Polymer | | Best Sellers Rank | #251,081 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #760 in Hobby RC Quadcopters & Multirotors | | Brand | BionicBird | | Color | orange | | Connectivity Technology | Bluetooth, USB | | Control Type | App Control | | Customer Reviews | 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars (21) | | Included Components | Battery, USB Charger, USB Type-C Cable | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 7.87"L x 14.96"W x 2.75"H | | Item Weight | 12.2 g | | Manufacturer | XTIM | | Material | Plastic | | Maximum Range | 150 meters | | Model Name | X-Fly | | Model Number | XFLY | | Optical Sensor Technology | CMOS | | Part Number | XFLY | | Remote Control Technology | Bluetooth | | Skill Level | Beginner | | Special Features | Anti-Fall, Compact, Crash Resistant, Gyroscopic Stabilization, Lightweight | | Video Capture Format | MP4 | | Video Capture Resolution | 1080p | | Wireless Communication Technology | Bluetooth | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Teen & Adult - **Brand:** BionicBird - **Color:** orange - **Connectivity Technology:** Bluetooth, USB - **Included Components:** Battery, USB Charger, USB Type-C Cable - **Item Weight:** 12.2 g - **Model Name:** X-Fly - **Skill Level:** Beginner - **Special Feature:** Anti-Fall, Compact, Crash Resistant, Gyroscopic Stabilization, Lightweight - **Video Capture Resolution:** 1080p ## Images ![X-Fly Bionic Bird – RC Flying Bird & Biomimetic Ornithopter | Flapping-Wing Flight | 6-Axis Gyro & Flight Assistance | Smartphone Control for iOS & Android | For Beginners & RC Pilots - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71AnLAQfC0L.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - X-Fly Bionic Bird - sensor assisted ornithopter drone | RC & smartphone controlled for iOS & Android| Easy to fly with Autopilot & 6-Axis Gyro Stabilizer | next-gen flapping wings | For pilots & beginners - XF Bundle Kit for IOS & Android devices by BionicBird - Controller & accessories compatible with the X-Fly ornithopter drone --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/680577566-x-fly-bionic-bird-rc-flying-bird-and-biomimetic-ornithopter](https://www.desertcart.at/products/680577566-x-fly-bionic-bird-rc-flying-bird-and-biomimetic-ornithopter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
