The flow rate is four times what the "safety" spouts do which is a huge benefit when you're pouring 5 gallons into a UTV, tractor or zero turn mower. They seal well enough to travel to and from the gas station with no leaks. My oldest pair is over 5 years old with no signs of breaking down.
