Maybe, maybe not. If you listen to CDs something like this is probably your best bet, particularly if you review them for desertcart, for its ease of scrolling etc. operation, apart from the clarity of sound commented on by another user. I still use the over-the-top-and-in earphones from the American predecessor, as they are superior to the ones supplied. However, there is a caveat. I suspect that Brussels has intervened somewhere, as the signal output is lower than the American model. It is not high enough to keep out the ambient noise in an aircraft cabin. If you are lying in bed counting sheep, however, it is OK, provided nobody is snoring. Maybe with a head-set this problem can be eliminated, but that negates the travellin' light attraction of the CD player in the first place, apart from the fact that a head-set makes you look like an obsessive, and you can't hear when a cup of tea is being made. As the model is no longer available, you should use these criteria to test the other candidates. Otherwise, your best alternative is to find the American version if you can.
