Thanks.** A: The applicator brush is attached to the lid. I have found that you need to use something like a stirring stick or tongue depressor to thoroughly mix the sealant. The applicator brush isn't suitable for doing a really good job of mixing. If you don't mix it well, the sealant doesn't work very well on pipe threads. **Q: I need to seal gas pipes of my fireplace burner which sits hot in the fireplace. Would this do the job?** A: This doesn't work over 600F. However, it would be easier if you used teflon tape wound twice around the male connection threads. Gasoila is better when you have gas or oil connections (hence the name) where you couldn't use teflon because it would dissolve. **Q: Can you use this to seal the pipe fittings for a gas stove?** A: I don’t see why not.....I used it to seal pipe fittings on my gas furnace last year and I’m still alive and well. ## Frequently Bought Together - Gasoila Soft-Set Pipe Thread Sealant – Non-Hardening Paste for Metal & Plastic, 2 oz Tube – Reliable Leak Prevention, Drip-Resistant, Temp Range -100 to 600°F, Made in USA - Harvey 017065 Gas Line PTFE Thread Seal Tape - VOTMELL 4 Rolls 1/2 Inch(W) X 520 Inches(L) Teflon Plumbers Tape,Pipe Sealing & Plumbing Thread Tape,PTFE Water Sealant Seal for Shower Head,White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/692184244-gasoila-ss02-soft-set-pipe-thread-sealant-with-ptfe-paste](https://www.desertcart.at/products/692184244-gasoila-ss02-soft-set-pipe-thread-sealant-with-ptfe-paste) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
