Earned my first Platinum Trophy!Playing through again on the "New Game + Ultra Hard" setting.Bit about me. I've been building computers and gaming since Zork in 1980. Now, I'm a father and gaming is relegated to a few hours a week as I can. I value my game time and will not invest time in games that do not provided me enjoyment. That being said I love single player story-line driven RPGs.This game is the right mix of action, fast pace, story-line, but allowing for short bursts of gameplay with long downtime between. Combat has enough choices and weapons to make strategy important, while not so over cumbersome that you have to re-wire your brain to simultaneously push 18 buttons in the correct sequence. I cared for the characters and their live, felt invested in their welfare (Its not the next Tolstoy novel, but it gives you enough to feel you know them). I've put 190 hours in and that is a huge investment for me. I have to put down the controller sometimes and not pick it back up for a week or two. This game allowed me to do that and feel like I was right back in as if there was no downtime. The characters are all different the creatures are all unique (I know I've seen others state that it is a clone of this or that game, but honestly I had not been this blown away by a games level of attention to detail and variety of characters/environments/creatures since the first Everquest was released.I hope this points to a return of the story driven games and the industry will not just focus all of their attention on the MMO shooter with no actual gameplay, just body count. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a great game for action/adventure/rpg fans *by C***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 15, 2017* This is a great game for action/adventure/rpg fans. Similar in feel and mechanics to Witcher III, with a whole different background. The 'dystopian future where you wake up not knowing you are the savior of all that is left' genre is done well here, with a twist being the machines and the attack mechanics that add a sophisticated strategy layer. You have to understand the enemy and you must choose the right weapon, or you will find yourself dying over and over.My complaint about this game is the same I have for many 'post Witcher III' adventure titles. It just isn't big enough. Witcher III is SO massive and contains so much, with several additional content packs, that what you get for your initial $69 bucks, pales in comparison. Add in no DLC expansions and ZD just cannot be a 5 star for me. Because the first person shooter games and all the other companies trying to replicate and not give the player option to switch to third person this game allows you to do they didn't take the shortcut out by not animating a character.
