The description does not say.** A: It's a stiff, heavy plastic tape used to create a "zero clearance" insert for a miter saw blade. Simply apply to your miter saw insert, then with the saw running, bring the blade down and cut thru the tape . Your kerf is now the exact same size as your blade. Works really well. Makes for more accurate cuts. Look at the illustrations in the produce description. **Q: Can this tape be used on a table saw for zero clearance?** A: Yes that’s what I used it for. You do have to cut out for the riving knife. **Q: Is this true? Read a review about the tape catching the item sliding across his table saw. Can’t you simply adjust the height of the insert?** A: The zero clearance tape does have depth, about 2mm, therefore, in theory, it will stick up slightly, enough to catch a board. But in practice I haven’t had any trouble with that. Also, yes, you can adjust the table saw’s insert plate, slightly lower to compensate for the added height. Again, I found it unnecessary. And as an aside, the tape does work well. I have it on all my saws, table, sliding, miter and chop. I also have found other uses for the tape, it has a very strong adhesive and I have used it to shim non saw related items that needed a few mm of shim. **Q: Does the same cut you make also work in the mitered angle positions? 15, 30, 45 degrees, etc.? It works pretty good as a zero clearance insert and is easily replaced once it is damaged. Only complaint is that there is a fair amount of chip out on the first cut through the tape and then some additional after each cut. It seems to be a little too brittle. The price is fair for something that will need to be replaced sooner rather than later depending on how often you use your miter saw.
