Config the dipswitches upside down and backwards while reading chart - I had a day to prepare for a presentation live stream with a camera I knew wouldn't work with my BMD switcher in 1080P30. This came overnight and I configured it on the job. It worked immediately after the first attempt at setting the dip switches. It's a little confusing when you look at it at first, but once you figure it out, it's plain as day simple. Set the dipswitches upside down, from right to left while looking at the chart. Now I had also ordered a decimator md-hx but it did not arrive in time. I am happy it turned out this way. This little BMD is half the cost and does the trick. Sure, it doesn't have an LCD display, it doesn't have an app to configure it, and some advanced scaling options that the decimater has, but it works for most applications and the setup is indeed fast. It auto detects your input from any format down to 640x480 and up to 1080p60 and outputs to any format from 720 and up to 1080p60. Very useful when incompatible video devices get connected to a switcher. Review: works perfetly to convert 1080p to 1080i - i work at various bars with video matrix systems and most have some OLD TVs that don't like my HDMI laptop signal (it only outputs 1080p 60 Hz). These old TVs will not detect the signal or go crazy when i connect. Eventually I figured out that they work perfectly with HDMI 1080i (interlaced) signal. So I bought this to convert my laptop HDMI 1080p output to 1080i and they all work perfectly. No dropped signal, no latency...perfect solution. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for broadcasting signal to an older projector *by J***N on December 14, 2020* I have 1080p60 coming out of my Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD going into my streaming deck but I also wanted to send this signal to another room in the building with an older projector that only does 1080p30i. This is EXACTLY what I needed for that. I could loop out the signal unaffected to my streaming deck and then send it down the hall to the other room in the format that projector needed. The other room is 200 feet away and I have had no issues at all. I did have to go online to get the manual to figure out the dip switches, and it is true that some are not used/needed, but once we figured that out, boom... it worked flawlessly the first time and I hope it will continue for years to come. If it does not, I will update my review as I always do.
