Review: To Link - It was very easy to install, and it increased my Wi-Fi coverage tremendously and works great.
Review: FINALLY AN EXTENDER THAT WORKS! - So my apartment has two bedrooms on the opposite end of the house on the diagonal. I had two get two extenders in order to get the signal to work but a copy of a copy isn't always the best. Long story short the signal kept dropping. Since I share thr cost of the wifi with my roommate I had to make sure that she got a consistent signal. I was a bit hesitant about spending so much on an extender even a refurbished one. Infigured what the hey. A $25 extender isn't doing it anymore and since I eventually bought two it was essentially the same price. I am glad I purchased the thing! No more dropped signals and it even takes the 5G without issue (which I had no idea I even had!). Had I known how aweaome this prodict was I would have bought it before, even full price given how much I've had ro pay in routers so far. BONUS: When open it looks like a happy little man lol.

**Q: Would you plug this in close to router or the garage**
A: I plugged mine inside the garage - this put 2 wooden walls & about 100 ft. outdoors between the router in the house & the tp-link.  It works great!  (and sends the signal through another 25 ft. and another wooden wall) into the shop building (garage attached)

**Q: Does this work for public wifi like hotels to connect my ethernet devices?**
A: Yes

**Q: Want to add to my apartment over the garage. Will it work there?**
A: I was really surprised on how well this worked and how far I was away from my router. Our router is upstairs and we had issues in the basement have a good signal all the time. I linked up the device as instructed then moved the extender to the first floor and had good strength so then I moved the extender to the basement and it is working great! Very surprised.

**Q: Does it send the signal to a lower floor or it only works horizontally?**
A: In our case the extender was on the 2nd floor (modem on the 1st floor). Because the signal fluctuated so much, it was not even tested out on the 3rd floor. This unit was returned to vendor.

I have a TP-Link mesh network, needed another node to connect a new appliances so this has a TP-Link SG108 switch downstream. Easy to manage and generally reliable, plus happily coexists with a number of other TP-Link network devices. Doesn't seem to get the speed suggested. For sure, update the firmware immediately and that improves stability.
