I put the pill in, but still can't get it to go down.** A: Jake- It sounds like you are still suffering from pill anxiety, you want to swallow the pill but you are still afraid. Common problem and it sounds like you do not have enough water in your mouth with the pill. The water carries the medication down your throat when you swallow and if you do not get a big enough mouthful of water it allows the pill to separate from the vehicle that is carrying it, the water. This means you swallow the water but not the pill. Do this. Use the cup for several days WITHOUT the pill and try to teach yourself to take larger mouthfuls of water, without choking of course. When you feel that you have more water in your mouth and you are comfortable with this amount, add the pill again.
