Designed and made in the USA, it offers unmatched durability, rust resistance, and versatile configurations for keys, gadgets, and even jewelry testing. Perfect for professionals seeking convenience, security, and a sleek minimalist accessory that doubles as a valet key disconnect and magnetic key hanger. ## Description This quick release detachable keychain magnet is press fit into hand machined brass, which assures maximum durability. Never rusts, fails, or falls apart. Comes pre-assembled as pictured on package. Just reconfigure it for your purpose. For car key chain configuration: Attach one small split ring to each end of magnet, then attach one end to your ignition key, and the other end to your large key ring that holds the rest of your keys. That's it! Large rings are only for if you wear the magnet on a belt loop. Otherwise, toss them in your junk drawer. Handy for checking gold and silver jewelry too! The uses and ideas are literally limitless! Please note: Due to their strength they have the potential to damage credit cards or other items with a magnetic strip if they are kept too close, but cell phones, electronics, and car keys with embedded micro chips are fine. However, they will not work on some models of newer vehicles. If your door lock/unlock sensor is built into the key, you won't be able to leave the key in the ignition and lock the car from the outside. But, there are dozens of other uses! By far the best refrigerator magnets you'll ever own, as just one example. Proudly made in the USA! Review: Just ordered another - I have a few of these magnet keychain devices and like them because the magnet is strong. I have used similar products with much weaker magnets and you sometimes worry about losing your keys. Not with these although when you have a few of them on a keychain they tend to ball up fairly tight together. I'm thinking of chaining them together in the middle to space them out more. I have encrypted USB drives attached to these magnetic loops and I have never worried about losing them. I just purchased another to hold my three medication holders. That way I can pull them off magnetically and open the medication holders without the keys and other stuff weighing me down (have to twist container and will have three on a single loop) Review: These are great - I bought a few of these same keyrings about 10 years ago off Ebay. They have been awesome with one caveat... you have to replace your steel keyrings with some that are non magnetic. If you don't these are annoying to use since everything gets jumbled up on the magnets. Once the ferrous keyrings are replaced these become one of those things that you become dependent upon. When you have more than one set of these you need to work out the polarity combination for your use case. I put the positive poles on the vehicle keys and the negatives on house keys and belt loop hooks. I recently bought another from desertcart for use at work. Equipment I work with required a key that must be removed after use for safety reasons. Needing quick access to that key a few dozen times a day, this is a great solution. With one side of this secured to my vest the key can stay with me, quickly pulled free for use and reattached effortlessly with one hand quickly. This is much better than sorting through a pocket full of items for the key repeatedly. ## Features - SLENDER DESIGN! Superior keychain magnet to all others in both quailty and utility. High quality, handmade and machined in the USA! Magnet is press fit into solid brass, which assures maximum durability. Never rusts, fails, or falls apart. Our 6 lb pull force magnets are strong enough to keep your gadgets or keys secure, yet not so strong that your keys turn into a tangled mess. - USE AS A VALET key disconnect. Spare your ignition from the weight of your entire key set. Test metals, including industrial scrap, gold and silver jewelry. Use each half independently as a magnetic key hanger. - LEAVE YOUR CAR running with the doors locked whenever you want (this won't work on some newer model vehicles). Perfect for hot summer days to keep the air conditioning going during a quick stop at a store. Sit in your house while your car warms up in the mornings with the doors locked! - COMES PRE-ASSEMBLED as pictured on package but can easily be reconfigured multiple ways. Package includes one magnet, two 1/2" split rings for use on your keychain, and two larger 1.375" split rings for use on your pant loop, bags, purses, belts, etc. The uses and ideas are literally limitless! Proudly made in the USA! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07D7JZX3J | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,540,123 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ( See Top 100 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ) #9,291 in Men's Keyrings & Keychains | | Brand | Highlandhawker | | Brand Name | Highlandhawker | | Color | Gold | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 381 Reviews | | Manufacturer | Highlandhawker | | Material | Brass | | Material Type | Brass | | Model Number | QCB | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Part Number | .. | | Pull Force | 6 pounds | | Shape | Oblong | | UPC | 662425091768 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Highlandhawker - **Color:** Gold - **Material:** Brass - **Number of Pieces:** 1 - **Shape:** Oblong ## Images ![The Original Quick Release Connect Detachable Keychain Magnet - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/616EgPu3PbL.jpg) ![The Original Quick Release Connect Detachable Keychain Magnet - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71H3EDV-LkL.jpg) ![The Original Quick Release Connect Detachable Keychain Magnet - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71lvC9PNBaL.jpg) ![The Original Quick Release Connect Detachable Keychain Magnet - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71AgBmFDEnL.jpg) ![The Original Quick Release Connect Detachable Keychain Magnet - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71RlARQPUlL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can the brass version be used in fresh or saltwater?** A: Fresh water use is fine. Saltwater use is fine if it is temporary and rinsed afterword. Long periods of submersion will cause oxidation. **Q: Does it have two modes - secure in place & quick disconnect? There are situations where I'd like to be able to use both.** A: I love this quick keychain has 2 magnets and you can pull the two apart with a little effort. I have the car key and key locater on one hoop and the other keys on another hoop. This give quick release so I can still have one half in the car and give someone to use the other keys when necessary. **Q: I have two sets of keys for my two cars and house keys. Should I buy this quick release keychain or is there something better?** A: Yes. I bought three rings. One for work keys and two for each car. I use the pull apart feature all the time. **Q: What material us magnet made from?** A: The magnet insert is an iron-boron-neodymium ceramic alloy. The coating is Nickel. Hope that helps! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just ordered another *by T***K on December 12, 2025* I have a few of these magnet keychain devices and like them because the magnet is strong. This is a quality key connector, maybe over priced but I'd rather pay for excellence than have crap. The one thing people should know is that each half of this "clip" is a separate strong magnet. Of course that's what makes it work so well, but each magnet will clamp tightly to any ferris metal. That said, (in my case) the magnet clamps immediately to the various rings on my key cluster; this is great in that I can toss the key in my pocket with the other keys and it will grab onto something, on the other hand it's slightly tedious to set it right each time for me on my cluster key ting. All in all it's a great product that absolutely filled my need. I'd buy again in a heartbeat. ## Frequently Bought Together - Highlandhawker The Original Quick Release Connect Detachable Keychain Magnet - CRAFTMEMORE Japanese Fish Hook Keychain Wallet Holder Belt Clip Leathercraft Accessories 2" Long Pack of 2 (Antique Brass) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/71722893-the-original-quick-release-connect-detachable-keychain-magnet](https://www.desertcart.at/products/71722893-the-original-quick-release-connect-detachable-keychain-magnet) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
