I have some that have grown to 18-20 inches in diameter. Every other year, I split them to reduce crowding and to keep them healthy. In less sunlight, it takes much more time to get to that size, if ever. I rarely split those in shade, so they only grow to about 12" in diameter. **Q: Will it grow in full sun, salt air from ocean, 65 degree average temperature?** A: If you are planting them in the southern US, they will probably do fine. My garden is in Northern WA state and our summer temps were in the 80s. Even with adequate water, it was not enough. The plants are also subject to predation by deer and rabbits. I have lost almost all of the 100 plants I put in the ground.
