Monterey B.t. must be eaten by worms or caterpillars to be effective. After ingesting the insecticide, they immediately stop feeding, though they may otherwise appear to be unaffected for several days. Best results are obtained by treatments when worms are small; they must be actively feeding on treated, exposed foliage. You may apply Monterey B.t. up to and on the day of harvest. Review: I was very surprised at the size of the bottle, that was my fault. I was rushing to find something as quickly as possible after discovering the invasion on my potted Mandevilla. The small bottle is a concentrated formula, if measured and used properly will get many uses. I received the next day and sprayed the plant. Next morning they seemed to have multiplied over night. In my frustrations I pulled out the scissors and chopped off every branch that was housing a caterpillar. I applied the formula again, the caterpillars have to digest the chemical, simply spraying them does not kill them. I made sure to soak up the leaves that were left. It’s been 3 days now, no sign of any more caterpillars. I am not sure the product worked. But I will keep it in hand and use again if any signs of the little invaders.

**Q: Will bt kill above ground aphids on leaves of plant**
A: No this spray will not work on aphids … you can try a very diluted dawn spray … then rinse your plants with the water hose … to wash the aphids off… you might have to do this 2-3 times … just keep a close watch and do it as they re-appear … also do it when there is no sun

**Q: How many quarts does this make?**
A: Most common dilution rate is 2 ounces per 3 gallons of water.

**Q: Does this work on mosquitoes, similar to the Bt in mosquito bits, or is this a different strain?**
A: This works on EVERYTHING.. Spray it on after dark
