Review: Perfect for newbies! - I am brand new to builder gel (well not anymore because I’ve been using this for a few months now but started as beginner) and I LOVE THIS STUFF. It’s incredibly easy to work with and is self leveling so it’s very forgiving with newbies. I’m a cosmetologist so I had minimal nail care training and I was able to get through it with a little patience and practice. You can use just one layer or you could do 3-4 thin layers if you prefer thicker nails. I prefer the natural polished look and this works great. It stays clear and doesn’t yellow under the curing lamp. I have yet to break a nail or have any lifting (just make sure you don’t get it on the cuticle). The consistency is much thicker than typical polish but goes on nice and smooth and it holds up so well. I haven’t had any chipping or anything like that either. It has almost no smell and overall easy to get the hang of it!

**Q: Does this come with a nail form?**
A: No most models ones builder gels do not come with nails forms

**Q: Removal is this soak off or efiled off?**
A: It can be soaked off, but it can be a long process. I usually file it way down then soak the remainder off.  I use a combination of e-file and 150-180 boards, but it would be easy enough to do it all manually.

**Q: Can you buy the clear in a bigger bottle?**
A: I don’t think so. There should be plenty in the bottle for several manicures.

**Q: Can this be used as a clear coat with no color to strengthen nails?**
A: Yes you can. I find it little hard to use. It is thick so be careful with the strokes. I find it better after applying on each finger nail, set each under the light as you go. Then set the entire hand at the end.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Elevates your home nails

I bought this builder gel after I saw my friend’s nails that she did herself, and she said builder gel was her secret. I don’t know what brand she used, but I purchased this based on the reviews and because I already have a few nail colors from this brand. I use the builder gel as my base coat. I usually do two layers, curing each for 120 seconds, and then depending on the color I do a few layers of color. The orange nails in my pictures are 2 layers of color. Then I finish with a layer of topcoat. I’ve had this for about 10 months and have probably done my nails at least 10 times with this gel. I’m not a professional at all, just a home-doing-my-own-nails sort of situation. I have fairly healthy, thick nails naturally. I do feel like the builder gel elevates the nails. It definitely gives them a thicker base, so I feel like I don’t have to use as much color to get them to look thicker. I also feel like it helps the nails last longer. Usually my nails last 1–2 weeks, but if I reseal them with another layer of topcoat after a week, I can usually get them to last around 3 weeks. I don’t have issues with lifting or peeling as long as I’m careful to keep the gel off my skin and cuticles. My biggest issue is getting it to lay just right. It can be hard to get the curve right, and I usually end up with a sort of divot in the middle of my nail or one side being thicker than the other. But I could probably benefit from watching some tutorials on how to get the curve right, so I don't necessarily think that's the product's fault, which is why I’ll give it 5 stars rather than 4. When I’m ready to change my nails, I usually end up peeling the gel off 😅, but I have also filed it down and started new nails from there. Overall, I’ve been really happy with this builder gel and will continue using it.
