Do i need to remove the brush head from the handle every time i use and clean the brush ? or can i rinse the brush head while it is attached to handle

Keep the unit running under strong water flow during a quick rinse and its not an issue. I also run the unit in 3% hydrogen peroxide for a minute (H2O2 is a better sanitizer than alcohol and safe.) I bought two in 2020 and the brushes last FOREVER, and we brush 2 or 3 times a day. Start out on massage setting or you won't be ready for the more powerful high setting. My dentist one month later without couching immediately noticed the difference between this brand and a manual brush. Another thing, we don't keep it on the charger, the battery is POWERFUL, unlike the Philips brand, it holds a charge for two months! I found this and I'm considering buying seven for Xmas gifts for the kids. Best toothbrush we've ever owned, love it so much better than Philips.

Is it compatible with all other sonicare brush heads,?

is this entire unit waterproof? - can i use it in the shower?

It says in Picture 2 it is completely waterproof and "Yes - You can use in the shower!" And even in the description it says that the unit is waterproof. I'm super confused by the first answer.
