After 10+ years, the cleaner head finally went out. The spin brush would stop and it would make a high pitched screech. I called Dyson and they said I needed to take it to a repair shop. I googled the problem and came to the conclusion it was almost certainly the cleaner head motor, as it has its own. After installation, my vacuum was so quiet and operated so smoothly I assumed it was not working at all. It was like playing with a toy vacuum, except NOT. It absolutely worked.
