No bleach needed & the color really pops. I wash my hair about 1-2 times per week, and this color lasts for months with that schedule. It still fades over time and becomes something like an ombre tint, but that means I can just let it go without worrying about it looking horrible. The color will stain your bathroom though if you aren't diligent! Eventually it comes out, but you definitely want to be careful if dying at home and during the first few hair washes.
