I currently own 3 that are used by the 3 Vocalists in my performing band thru a mixing board, then out to the PA at shows...or when connected directly to our digital system for recording, and have NEVER USED OR NEEDED ‘phantom power’. My equipment does have it available, but only have to switch it on when using CONDENSER MICS. These do require a source of power because their internal capacitor needs it.
