I like that it came with extra resistors, so if the internal resistor fails I can replace it. Out of curiosity I looked up the cost of the one-watt resistors that this device uses. They cost 10 cents. So far, this $9 passive VCM override device replaces my previous active "S-VCM" that cost over $100 and is effectively disabling VCM (and avoiding the attendant issues).
